UPDATE: With the recent release of Jurassic World, now is the perfect time to reminisce about the epic 1993 blockbuster, Jurassic Park.
Jurassic Park was simply magical, with special effects and heart-stopping thrills that still hold up 22 years later.
Based upon the novel by Michael Crichton, and directed by Steven Spielberg, the original was not only entertaining but technically flawless. The movie won three Academy Awards (Best Visual Effects, Best Sound, and Best Sound Editing) and grossed nearly $915 million worldwide, easily surpassing #2 on this list, Mrs. Doubtfire (another classic).
The line “Welcome to Jurassic Park” still gives me goose bumps, with the awe-inspiring theme song coming in at a close second.
And it that’s not enough to get your nostalgia flowing, here’s the original trailer.
